Shelby doesn’t like to be late. To her events. So it wasn’t unusual this morning for her to stand in the kitchen “urging” her mother to hurry up.

Then I saw the irony.

“Shelby, instead of nagging your mom, why don’t you go get in the car? She can’t leave until you’re in there.”

Sandra knew the time. She didn’t need the prompting.

But we all do it.

We complain about other people while we haven’t done what we need to do.
