Will and I were digging a trench today to fix a drainage problem and we hit a rock. A big rock. We think it’s the one that the house is built on.

We tried for about an hour to dig it out, even watched an instructional YouTube video. The rock won. We decided to dig around the rock. Life is like that at times.

Some rocks, we’ll call them obstacles, ok, we’ll even call them people, aren’t going to move. We may beat our heads against these rocks, we may gripe, moan and complain about them, but all we get is a headache. Some rocks are immovable.

I’ve found it best to pray for these rocks. No, they don’t miraculously get out of my way, but prayer usually changes how I feel about them. God shows me that the rock was my heart.
